What are kids like, eh? You no sooner begin a journey and they are asking "Are we there yet Dad?" Little darlings! Don't you just love them? As the holiday season comes close to the end, it is a time to reflect on what it means to each of us. Whether we are celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Eid-Ul-Adha, Boxing Day, Los Posados, or St Lucia Day we have much to be grateful for in this life. We may not all celebrate in the same way or have the same religions, but in spite of that, lots of us are lucky to have each other and our loved ones with us especially our children as I come to realize even more these days. Even for those who have passed on, we have their memories to cherish and a time to reflect on what they have shared with us while they were here. I was taken by the fact that last year during this time, I was on vacation with my wife's family in Taiwan and this year they spent time in a funeral home on the passing of my wife's dad due to a lost fight with cancer.
The world is trying to come together to save the planet and pushing to cut pollution by going "Green" in many places. Changes are occurring all around us. Some of them are not to our liking, others will be more appealing. However all the same when you think about it, life is anything but dull. Without change we have no progress, so change is necessary even if we don't like it.
