RevaHealth.com is a search engine that helps users find and compare health clinics worldwide. Founded in 2006, it currently stores information on over 60,000 clinics in the UK, Ireland and 50 other countries worldwide including countries such as Thailand. RevaHealth.com helps people take control of their healthcare choices and find the most suitable clinic and treatment for their needs. Another colleague of mine was on a business trip in Thailand. It was his first time 18months so he was a bit aprehensive about the bad news that might be in store for him when he went to the dentist. However, he was pleasantly surprised to be told that his teeth were in tip-top condition and not even showing the early signs of decay which was great news.
What did come as a shock was the bill. £75 for check up and clean that only took 25mins. Another colleague visited the dentist recently when he was in Bangkok Thailand. At the end of the treatment, it only cost £12 or US $17.00 per today's exchange rate for the same procedure. The clinics are all fully up to western standards.
I have always been pretty sceptical about medical tourism, despite all the negative press I would still trust the NHS over anywhere else. But such big savings do make you think.......... If you are in Thailand visiting or living check out Dentists Thailand
