Cut down on coffee
Every year around this time we all make our New Year's resolutions. We're going to lose weight, stop smoking, not bite our nails, be nicer to each other, make more money, and generally become the most perfect, awesome people in the world. It doesn't usually work out, of course, and we're forced to come up with more realistic resolutions ("I cut down on the number of mocha lattes I have each day from 5 to 4!"). I am sure this will save me a bunch of $$ once I stop going to Starbucks.
Well maybe stop going to Starbucks might be too radical of a decision. If you are really intent on patronizing Starbucks and watching your weight in the new year, why not try the original skinny drink? It's called black coffee, sweetheart.
And if you want it to taste more smooth and rich, pour in four tablespoons of half-and-half (still only 80 calories) and a whole bunch of cocoa powder. Now you have your delicious fat along with intense chocolate and coffee flavor without those freaky artificial sweeteners and that tragedy known as non-fat milk. And it will only cost you about $1.85. It's better than $3.00+ coffee
