The Legend Continues

(Notice the reaction of the main female character in white)

Note: This is part III of Little Dragon Girl.

The story continues at the beginning of last Christmas when my little guy was admitted to the hospital. He spent two weeks in the ICU with all sorts of large and small tubes stuck in to his body. It was not a pretty site. Naturally during this time, we had a lot visitors who came to comfort and care for us. I remember a mom who had a strong minded reputation couldn't help but to break down with a few tears. Among the ones that my little guy wanted to see of course was his little dragon girl. Her mom didn't allowed her to come since she was afraid that little dragon girl at a tender young age couldn't grasp the severity of the condition. She was protecting her daughter from seeing her little buddy in such grim condition. Little dragon girl however insisted on coming and wanting to see our little guy. Her mom later shared with us that she even got mad at her mom for not permitting her to see the helpless little boy lying in the hospital bed. Little dragon girl always had an affinity of feeding our little guy. My son is a good eater and would eat just about anything you put close to his mouth. One of his favorite food was cake. Little dragon girl came prepared to the hospital, wanting to see him and hopefully get to cheer him up with a few spoon feeds. However, the doctor and nurses didn't allow it but even before then, little dragon girl did breakdown and left the hospital room with her mom. It was a touching scene of how innocent yet strong deep and meaningful friendships are, even at there tender young age. My son is lucky to have friends that care so much.

Really nice blog you have here. I like the simplicity. It makes it easy on the eyes. I enjoyed reading about little dragon girl, and I'll definitely come back. I'll add a link to your blog on my blog. It'll make it easier for me to find it :)

Hi! I really enjoyed your writing - really touching stories about your son.
I'm pretty new at this myself, but I would say that if possible put more paragraphs in. While you wouldn't do this if writing a book, it just makes it much easier to read on the net, and is one of the first things I was advised to change on my site. Hope you don't mind!
Do keep it up. I'll be starting a blogroll shortly and will make sure I include you - I'll be honoured to link exchange with you.

Thanks for visiting my bloglog, and like the other's i find your blog touching and very sentimental...i have nothing to add, but to simply be yourself, or who you would like to reveal. I have always found that the most interesting blogs were the ones that spoke of truths, the ones that revealed, and shared, enticed and entertained...you do all of this, so please keep up the good work and visit mine as well. Consider yourself added Godzilla! Best of wishes to you and yours!

What a sweet post! I am often touched by how kind children can be to each other....usually much more so than their adult counterparts. I hope your son is doing better now!

hi, godzilla! thanks for the comment on mybloglog!
I see you chose the blogger "Minima Black" template- simple, & no frills!
I used this template as my own, before bastardizing it several months back, into a more suitable template!

tips & tricks?

trial and error. you can do a lot on the blogger free platform, but remember that not all codes and scripts play well together.
it took me nearly 2 years of trial and error to develop the look to my site.

the one thing I can tell you is this: COPY AND PASTE YOUR ENTIRE TEMPLATE INTO A NOTE OR WORD FILE BEFORE YOU MAKE CHANGES! you can always replace the entire template if you have to. I found this out the hard way!

have fun!!

My first grandson was a Gastoschesis baby. he was born with his entire upper and lower intestines on the outside of his body. He was on 100% oxegen for 30 days and in ICC for 3 months. Only someone that has experienced something like this can truly understand. I don't care how often you see it on tv or in a movie, until you walk in and see your little one lying there all covered in tubes, masks, and hooked up to devices that ring emergency sounds constantly...then you truly cannot relate. when he came home at 4 mos. old he weighed 6lbs. Thankfully and gratefully with God's blessing he is a perfectly normal 14 yr. old young man today. But I hope to never, ever, have to go through anything like that again! Thanks for your share and allowing us to share.

Your blog is very user friendly. It doesn't have too many things that would distract a potential reader.

I can't really think of how you can improve your blog because it is nice as it is. Being true to yourself and finding creative ways to present that isn't easy but I feel you have done it. I really enjoyed your blog entry and the video.

I watched the video (little dragon girl) - how beautiful, if you pay attention, you need no words to explain the story. I then scrolled down and learned about your son. Wow, I had to wipe the tears from my eyes. Your site will be one of my favorites. All the best.
