How do you spell evil? Simple..Nancy Pelosi and Wow, this is truly stunning. Nancy Pelosi sold just 2,737 copies of her terrible, terrible book. This is one of the worst sales showings, ever, by a terrible person who has written an equally terrible book. I believe Crazy Saddam Hussein sold more copies of those crazy romance novels he used to write about harem girls and their kings. Nancy Pelosi is, thus, a worse writer than Saddam Hussein, and possibly not far behind as a living breathing person in comparison to the former dictator. In terms of approval ratings, there is no question Sarah Palin's 75% approval ratings as the governor of Alaska outwieighs Nancy Pelosi's records as a human being. It's time for Sarah Palin to go hunting in capitol hills and shoot down a person that is not even worth mentioning. She is not even liked within her own Democratic party.



Perhaps Americans just don't like Nancy Pelosi, because she hasn't accomplished anything since she has been the speaker,and has proven herself to be nothing more than just a lof of hot air. Did House Speaker Nancy Pelosi blow up the financial bailout bill by making a sadistic partisan speech on the House floor in the middle of the debate? There are enough people lining up in front of the microphones who are willing to say so. I am one of them!! What an evil thing to do to put politics in front of $1.2 Trillion lost of money that belongs to the people.

A short reading of the excerpts and a listen to the Youtube video would seem to suggest that Nancy Pelosi was not speaking in the spirit of bipartisanship.

"It is a number that is staggering, but tells us only the costs of the Bush administration's failed economic policies - policies built on budgetary recklessness, on an anything-goes mentality, with no regulation, no supervision, and no discipline in the system." Calling Republicans "unpatriotic" the previous day likely didn't help either.

Those are hardly the words of a politician who was serious about passing an important and controversial bailout bill on a bipartisan vote. Those words must have been especially harsh to Republican ears coming from a fork tongue! Not only did the crisis have its origin in the Carter era Community Reinvestment Act as revised during the Clinton era, but Democrats resisted efforts to head off the crisis before it exploded. Democrats were saying four years ago that there was nothing wrong with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mack.

It is likely that the bailout bill will be salvaged somehow. Too many political reputations and perhaps the economic health of the nation are riding on it. But perhaps when the measure comes up for debate again, Speaker Nancy Pelosi could well be advised to do herself, her party, and the country a service by keeping her mouth shut.

I chose to be a parent. And when I made that decision, I chose the responsibilities that came with it. There are many times I have had to balance my needs, my wants against theirs, and as it is true with Mom's or Dad's all across the horizons of the world, our individual needs usually come in second.

After having our son I gave up many things: privacy, sports games on TV---some very IMPORTANT playoff games on TV (!!!), time to myself, spur of the moment outings with my wife, a clean house, and a clean car to mention a few. I gave up reading the newest or latest gadgets on the market and have learned to be happy to get through just on the stats of my new favorite quarterback Jay Cutler! Heck, I have even given up some of my pride - yes I have been out in public with nose hair sticking out and unshaved beard simply to get both of us out of the house.

After having my child I learned that giving up all those things was the best thing I ever did and will do. I learned what unconditional love really is. I realize the most precious things to see are the smiles on our little ones and hear their naughty laughters or smirks. I learned that a clean house (and car) is not nearly as important as playing toy train tracks or building lego towns or spending the day at the park. I learned that the best books out there are the ones you read to your kids and later, their reading back to you. I learned that while I may not have time to do the things I want but I always have time to wash my kid's hair and have a little chat time while I give him a bath.

In other words, I learned that being a parent meant that your kids will, and should come first. It meant that never, not for one minute, would they not be on your mind and that you would do anything to protect and care for them. Putting their needs first above our own. That you would think and rethink your own actions knowing that they could affect you children, knowing they were watching and learning by our actions and words.

This is what brings us to GOP Veep Candidate Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin is a mother of five, including Trig Paxon Van Palin. Trig was born in April 2008 with an extra chromosome. Down Syndrome. One must understand that raising a child with Down Syndrome while having a political career is undoubtely difficult. In fact, it is difficult for any family. I can't even imagine myself taking care of a special need child for a minute! With the news that Sarah had last year before her son was born–--the news that her child will likely have Down Syndrome–she knew having her son would change her life and possibly put her career on hold. The Palins never considered aborting the baby. That means that Trig Palin is now in a very rare group of very special children. It is now believed that the vast majority of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome before birth are being aborted [up to 90 percent of all Down Syndrome pregnancies end in abortion]. Governor Sarah Palin chose to have the baby. She and her husband never considered abortion. Like every human being born since the begining of time, I know Gov. Palin is a imperfect just like the rest of us. No one is perfect. I doubt her political goals are 100 percent dedicated to the goodness of humankind. But, at least in this circumstance, I know that she loved her son, Trig, enough to give him a chance to live and be enjoyed by her family. I know that she looks at her son like any mother should and adores him. Sure he has an extra chromosome. Sure it will be difficult. But just like you and me and every person who has been born, Trig bears the image of God and has a right to his life, to give us hope, to show us the wonder and beauty of a child with special needs, and to enjoy the world as well. Often politics and law disappoint us. But at least one politician has made a beautiful choice: she knowingly gave birth to her son, Trig. So no matter how bleak the contemporary political or economic scene gets, there is at least one thing I hope comes to pass in my lifetime. That one thing is to see an end to abortion and to see God honored and glorified in the birth of every precious child, like Trig Paxon Van Palin.

What Sarah Palin has chosen to do is fantastic. The love that she and her family have for Trig was clear in her speech at the Republican National Convention. It was inspirational to see a mother in a position of political power stand up for a child with special needs. According to legal experts, should Roe v. Wade be overturned, some states could outlaw abortion for Down syndrome or other birth defects.

WOW!! people can you imagine if we use this definition to define the right to life? If you are not Marginally productive then you should be terminated. We have a lot of nuts out there and this guy is one of the biggest of all nuts. I guess he is fighting to not be marginally productive himself!

Like it or not, Gov. Palin's "Pitbull in Lipstick" quip at the GOP convention is one of the most memorable lines of this election. It's been scrawled on signs, printed on t-shirts, and satirized by almost every political cartoonist in the country. Hence, you can no longer use the word "lipstick" in a speech without your audience thinking that you are making a Palin joke. I will be the first to admit that I don't know what Barack Obama was thinking when he made the remark, but whether he was referencing Sarah or not, he (or his handlers) should have known better. It was a tremendously idiotic move which showed (once again) that Senator Obama doesn't have much of a filter between his brain and his mouth. If you haven't heard yet, the numerous polls show the McCain-Palin ticket dramatically stealing the lead from Obama-Biden. A USA Today/Gallup poll even shows a 3% McCain-Palin lead among likely voters.

So, the Palin nomination (coupled with a fantastic convention) has definitely invigorated the McCain campaign. There is good reason to believe that the dynamics of this election have changed. By nominating Palin, the McCain campaign has recaptured the "maverick" label and ripped the "change" argument out from under Barack Obama. Meanwhile, GOP camp has overhauled the McCain campaign, molding it into a lean, mean electoral machine. And finally, Barack Obama has thrown his campaign totally off message by nominating Washington insider Joe Biden as his VP. With all of those factors working in McCain's favor, it is not a stretch to think that the War hero POW from Arizona will still be in the lead once the polls stabilize.

It also does not appear that "Sarahmania" will flame out any time soon. The McCain campaign is wisely choosing to keep her in the news rather than allowing her to disappear until the debates. This will allow Palin's star power to continue to lift the McCain campaign and build anticipation for the debates. Sarah should do well against Biden, launching a second round of Palin-buzz akin to what we saw after her convention speech. McCain himself will also get a jolt out of the debates later in the month, as he shines brightest in Q&A sessions. Obama, on the other hand, is best when he delivers uninterrupted inspiring speeches.

I remember as a young individual one of my neighborhood friends who is a girl being so excited when Geraldine Ferraro ran for vice president on the Democratic slate in 1984.
Even though she didn’t win, the fact that a woman could be a major party candidate opened the horizons. It’s been a long time waiting for another woman on a national ticket. But the day has come, with Republican Sen. John McCain’s choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate. And not only is she female, she’s a working mom with five children! That alone is already more experience than Obama having only two daughters! I hope that her candidacy will inspire the next generation of young girls to believe they too can achieve anything they dream in America.
